Hosts are Former Judge Advocates and Current Civilian Military Lawyers

Both Will and Jon have an extensive military law background, serving as judge advocates in the United States Army before practicing military law as civilian defense counsel.  Both have deployed, and served as former military prosecutors and military defense counsel.  The military law podcast LEXLawRadio will discuss current legal events and how they affect the lives of veterans and servicemembers, and will offer a dialogue where the law intersects the military.  “We look forward to discussing military law matters that touch on the lives of those who serve our nation,” said Will M. Helixon.  “Our goal is to start conversations among the troops, leaders, and lawyers about relevant legal topics in the military.”  Jon Stanfield agreed, “We can’t wait to launch our new military law podcast to share our thoughts about the law and to stimulate some great conversations.”

Something for Anyone Interested in Military Law

LEXLawRadio expects to have a wide range of listeners from the casual listener with little to no background in military law, to the experienced practitioner who works daily with military law issues. “Clients, colleagues, and fellow military justice practitioners, whether in uniform or not, are welcome to participate in the show,” Helixon said.  He continued, “We are passionate about military law, and LEXLawRadio will be an extension of that passion.”  Listener can expect Will and Jon to develop a format that will address listener’s questions during one segment of the show.

The Show is Part of Heroes Media Group Network

Additionally, LEXLawRadio will interview guests, including servicemembers, leaders and legal practitioners.  The show will be a part of the Heroes Media Group (HMG).  HMG is a podcast network and broadcasting platform dedicated to providing a voice for our community heroes and those who support them.
